About the boat

The Capelli 770 Luxe is an 8 m (26 ft) RIB built in 2007 with a 250 hp Yamaha engine, from the Italian yard Cantieri Capelli, founded in 1974 at Spinadesco near Cremona. It has a large front sunbed, a generous sun shade, a stern picnic table, an electric windlass, a depth sounder and USB sockets.

Location

Port Saint-Pierre sits on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez and faces the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Port-Cros is a national park created in 1963, and boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century.

Getting there by public transport

Hyères station is the end of the TER line from Toulon, about 20 minutes away, with connections from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port, a trip of about 18 minutes.
