Location
Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères lies on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez. The port faces the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant, and boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from here. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts on the Riviera in the 19th century, and Port-Cros became a national park in 1963.
Getting there by public transport
From Toulon, take the TER train to Hyères station, about 20 minutes. From Marseille Saint-Charles, connect at Toulon for about 1h15 to 1h30 in total. From the Hyères town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 to the stop Jean Jaurès, then ride to the port in about 18 minutes. Toulon-Hyères airport is a few kilometres from the centre and is linked to the centre and the station by a Mistral bus line.
