About the boat

The Capelli Tempest 626 is a 21 ft (6.5 m) RIB built in 2007 by Cantieri Capelli, an Italian yard founded in 1974 at Spinadesco near Cremona. It has a 150 hp engine, room for up to 8 guests, a shower, snorkeling gear, a sun shade and a swimming ladder.

Location

Trips depart from Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères, on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, facing the Golden Isles. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from this port, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Port-Cros is a national park created in 1963, and Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century.

Getting there by public transport

Take the TER train from Toulon to Hyères station, about 20 minutes, or come from Marseille Saint-Charles with connections in about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre stop Jean Jaurès, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 to the port, a ride of about 18 minutes.

About the skipper

A skipper is available for an extra 240 euro per day, but a boat licence is required.
