Boats leave from the port for the Lérins Islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, a few minutes offshore. The Palais des Festivals has hosted the Cannes Film Festival since 1946.
Getting there by public transport
Take a TGV or TER train to Cannes station on rue Jean Jaurès. From there it is about a 7 minute walk to the Palais des Festivals and the Vieux Port, or you can take Palm Bus line 1 between Gare SNCF and Gare Maritime, about every 5 minutes.
