Hyères was one of the first winter resorts on the Riviera in the 19th century.
Getting there by public transport
Take the TER from Toulon to Hyères station, about 20 minutes, or from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre, Réseau Mistral bus line 67 runs to the port from the Jean Jaurès stop in about 18 minutes.
