About the boat

The Sunseeker 48 is a 50 ft (15.3 m) motor boat built in 2018 by Sunseeker, a British yard in Poole, Dorset, founded in 1969. It has 900 hp, two cabins, room for 11 guests, and a kitchen, fridge, shower, toilet, snorkeling gear, sun shade and swimming ladder.

Location

Cannes sits on the French Riviera between Nice and Saint-Raphaël. The Vieux Port lies beside the Palais des Festivals and below Le Suquet, the old town on the hill, and boats leave from here for the Lérins Islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, a few minutes offshore. The Cannes Film Festival has been held since 1946.

Getting there by public transport

Take a TGV or TER train to Cannes station (Gare SNCF de Cannes, rue Jean Jaurès). From there it is about a 7 minute walk to the Palais des Festivals and the Vieux Port, or you can take Palm Bus line 1 between Gare SNCF and Gare Maritime, about every 5 minutes.

A skipper is required and costs 350 euro per day extra, and no boat licence is needed.
