About the boat
This 36 ft (10.9 m) cruising sailboat from 1989 has three double cabins, room for eight guests and a 30 hp engine, and was refitted in 2020. Jeanneau, the French yard that built it, was founded in 1957 in Les Herbiers in the Vendée and is part of Groupe Beneteau.
Location
Port Saint-Pierre sits in Hyères on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, facing the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from the port of Hyères, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts on the Riviera in the 19th century.
Getting there by public transport
Take the TER train from Toulon to Hyères station, about 20 minutes, or connect from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre stop Jean Jaurès, Réseau Mistral bus line 67 runs to the port in about 18 minutes.
