The Herbulot Beaufort 14 is a 49 ft (15 m) wooden ketch built in 1975 and refitted in 2017. It has two double cabins, a toilet with hot shower, and sleeps six guests, with snorkeling and fishing gear, a canoe and a 6 hp tender engine on board.
Location
Port Saint-Pierre sits in Hyères on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, facing the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Port-Cros is a national park created in 1963. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century, and boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from this port, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula.
Getting there by public transport
From Toulon, take the TER line to Hyères station, about 20 minutes, or come from Marseille Saint-Charles with connections of about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre stop Jean Jaurès, Réseau Mistral bus line 67 reaches the port in about 18 minutes.
