The Galeon 500 Fly is a 53 ft (16.2 m) motor boat built in 2015 by Galeon, a Polish yard near Gdansk founded in 1982. It takes up to 12 guests in 3 cabins and is powered by a 1340 hp engine, with air conditioning, a kitchen, a fridge, a shower and a hydraulic swim platform.
Location
Cannes sits on the French Riviera between Nice and Saint-Raphaël. Boats leave from the Vieux Port, next to the Palais des Festivals, for the Lérins Islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, a few minutes offshore. The Palais des Festivals has hosted the Cannes Film Festival since 1946, and Le Suquet, the old town, rises on the hill above the port.
Getting there by public transport
Cannes station (Gare SNCF de Cannes, rue Jean Jaurès) is served by TGV and TER trains along the coast. From the station it is about a 7 minute walk to the Palais des Festivals and the Vieux Port, or take Palm Bus line 1 between Gare SNCF and Gare Maritime, about every 5 minutes.
