Location
Port Saint-Pierre is in Hyères-les-Palmiers on the Var coast, between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, and faces the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from the port of Hyères, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts on the Riviera in the 19th century, and Port-Cros became a national park in 1963.
Getting there by public transport
From Toulon, take the TER train to Hyères station, about 20 minutes, or come from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30 with connections. From the town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port, about 18 minutes. Toulon-Hyères airport is a few kilometres from the centre and is linked to the centre and the station by a Mistral bus line.
