Location
Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères lies on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, facing the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from the port of Hyères, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Port-Cros is a national park created in 1963, and Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century.
Getting there by public transport
From the Hyères town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port, a trip of about 18 minutes. By train, take the TER line from Toulon to Hyères station, about 20 minutes, or connect from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30.
