About the boat

The Bénéteau Oceanis 45 is a 2015 sailboat measuring 45 feet (13.8 m) with 3 cabins, room for up to 10 guests and an 8 hp engine. Beneteau is a French yard founded in 1884 by Benjamin Bénéteau in Croix-de-Vie in the Vendée, one of the largest boat builders in the world.

Location

Port Vauban in Antibes sits between Cannes and Nice and is one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean, with about 1,500 berths. Superyachts moor at the Quai des Milliardaires below the Fort Carré, a star shaped fort that overlooks the port. The old town with its ramparts is right next to the harbour.

Getting there by public transport

Antibes station is about a 15 minute walk from Port Vauban. TER and TGV trains run along the coast between Cannes and Nice and stop at Antibes station.

About the skipper

A skipper is available for an extra 300 euro per day, and without one a boat licence is required.
