The Bénéteau Flyer 8 is a 30 ft (9 m) motor boat with a 200 hp engine and room for up to 8 guests. Beneteau, founded in 1884 in Croix-de-Vie in the Vendée, is one of the largest boat builders in the world.
Location
Boats leave from Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères, on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, facing the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Trips to Port-Cros and Le Levant depart from the port of Hyères, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century.
Getting there by public transport
Hyères train station is the end of the TER line from Toulon, about 20 minutes, and has connections from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port, about 18 minutes. Toulon-Hyères airport is a few kilometres from the centre and is linked to the centre and the station by a Mistral bus line.
