The fishing village became famous at the end of the 19th century through painters such as Paul Signac, and later through the 1956 film And God Created Woman with Brigitte Bardot.
Getting there by public transport
Saint-Tropez has no train station. From Saint-Raphaël Valescure station, ZOU! bus line 876 runs via Sainte-Maxime. From Toulon station, ZOU! lines 878 and 879 run. Les Bateaux Verts sail all year from Sainte-Maxime and Port Grimaud, Les Bateaux Bleus sail from Saint-Raphaël, and Trans Côte d’Azur sails from Cannes and Nice in high season.
