Location
Port Saint-Pierre sits in Hyères on the Var coast, between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, and faces the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from the port, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Port-Cros became a national park in 1963, and Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century.
Getting there by public transport
Hyères station is the end of the TER line from Toulon, about 20 minutes, with connections from Marseille Saint-Charles in about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port, about 18 minutes. Toulon-Hyères airport is linked to the centre and the station by a Mistral bus line.
