About the boat
The Capelli Tempest 700 Sun is a 24 ft (7.3 m) RIB from 2017, with a 225 hp engine, a sun shade, a shower and a swimming ladder, for up to 10 guests. Cantieri Capelli, an Italian yard founded in 1974 at Spinadesco near Cremona, builds RIBs and motorboats.
Location
Port Saint-Pierre sits on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez and faces the Golden Isles of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from the port of Hyères, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century, and Port-Cros became a national park in 1963.
Getting there by public transport
Hyères station is the end of the TER line from Toulon, about 20 minutes, with connections from Marseille Saint-Charles, about 1h15 to 1h30. From the town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port in about 18 minutes. Toulon-Hyères airport is a few kilometres from the centre and is linked by a Mistral bus line.
