Location
Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères sits on the Var coast between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, facing the Golden Isles: Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. Boats to Port-Cros and Le Levant leave from the Hyères port, while boats to Porquerolles leave from La Tour Fondue on the Giens peninsula, and Port-Cros is a national park created in 1963. Hyères was one of the first winter resorts of the Riviera in the 19th century.
Getting there by public transport
From Toulon, the TER train reaches Hyères station in about 20 minutes, and from Marseille Saint-Charles it takes about 1h15 to 1h30 with a connection. From the town centre, take Réseau Mistral bus line 67 from the Jean Jaurès stop to the port, a trip of about 18 minutes.
