About the boat
The Custom Made Bateau Pirate is a 49 ft (15 m) motor boat built in 1978 and powered by a 500 hp engine. It takes up to 36 guests and has two decks, with a bar and dance podium inside, a barbecue and a sun deck with a diving board, plus a fridge, shower, toilet, paddle boards and snorkeling gear.
Location
Cannes sits on the French Riviera between Nice and Saint-Raphaël. The Vieux Port lies next to the Palais des Festivals, home of the Cannes Film Festival since 1946, and below Le Suquet, the old town on the hill. Boats leave from here for the Lérins Islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, a few minutes offshore.
Getting there by public transport
From Cannes station (Gare SNCF de Cannes, rue Jean Jaurès), served by TGV and TER trains along the coast, it is about a 7 minute walk to the Palais des Festivals and the Vieux Port. You can also take Palm Bus line 1 between Gare SNCF and Gare Maritime, which runs about every 5 minutes.
